Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is an Underwater Safari?
Similar to popular land safaris, our Underwater Safari is an excursion underwater where passengers witness 360 degrees of breathtaking coral rich seas from the seats of our submarine. With over 2000 forms of marine life including sharks, whales, dolphins, turtles, and rays, each dive experience is bound to be a once in a lifetime adventure for our passengers.
2. How safe are your submarines?
The personal submarine industry has a flawless safety record with zero casualties. Moreover, our submarines are required to be periodically tested and certified by a world class engineering organization, DNV-GL. Lastly, our submersible has positive buoyancy as it always floats upwards when doing nothing.
3. How many people can ride in the submarine at one time?
Our submarine is designed to hold five occupants; one pilot and four guests. However, to capture and share this once and a lifetime experience, additional accompanying guests are invited to pilot our 360-degree video-recording underwater drone from our support boat. Not only will they be able to share the experience real-time, but they will also be able to share the video with others when they return home.
4. Are there any restrictions or certifications required to ride in the submarine?
Unlike scuba diving, there are no certifications required to ride in our submarine. No physical conditioning nor age restrictions are in place. The submarine maintains a pressure of one atmosphere in the cabin at all times.
5. What is Submarine Piloting?
Our intro to submarine piloting course provides enthusiast the opportunity to learn and get behind the pilot’s seat of our submarine. You can fly on a “plane” or you can learn to fly a “plane”. This offering is tailored to the experiential traveler that prefers the latter. The course includes classroom training, submarine launch and recovery, and navigating the submarine.
